Ops - E.O.I.
Ops
The best operators in startup land rarely come through a job board. They're already embedded somewhere, quietly making everything run. If that's you, and you're open to a conversation, register your interest now. We'll reach out when the right match emerges across our 43-company portfolio.
The context
Our portfolio founders are technical, ambitious, and often stretched across product, sales, and investor relations simultaneously. What they need is an operator who can build the scaffolding underneath them, finance, people, process, and systems, so they can stay in their zone. The hire is usually the first dedicated ops person in a team of 10–30.
What great looks like
You've run day-to-day operations at a startup, finance oversight, vendor management, compliance, HR infrastructure
You've built systems from scratch, not inherited them
You're the person founders call when something is on fire and also when they want to think through a hard decision
You can read a P&L and a hiring plan in the same breath
You are deeply unbothered by ambiguity
What makes you stand out
Experience as a COO, Chief of Staff, or GM at a funded tech company
You've navigated a fundraise from the operations side
Comfort working across finance, legal, people, and tooling simultaneously
Experience in a high-growth environment where the product, team and offering has scaled
Strong preference for SaaS or tech-adjacent industries
Who this is not for
If you're looking for an established playbook, a large team to delegate to, or a title that precedes outcomes, early-stage ops will frustrate you. These roles reward people who get things done before they're officially asked.
