About Us
Cable is a new full-stack electricity retailer based in Sydney. We deliver "firm" (the same price, 24/7, bespoke to each customer) electricity supply at 20-40% lower cost than incumbents. We achieve this by installing a fully-funded and managed behind-the-meter battery coupled with an advanced technology platform.
Our solution has a structural cost advantage over legacy "TradRetail" system designs. We are the energy company built for the distributed age, and are uniquely positioned to accelerate the re-platforming that is occurring as our energy systems become inherently distributed and decarbonised.
Role overview
This is Cable's first dedicated go-to-market hire. You'll own the full GTM engine: running campaigns, building on our RevOps foundations, owning pipeline, getting on calls, and closing customers. You'll also build the acquisition and engagement engine for our installer network, which is critical to our ability to scale.
There is no marketing team. There is no sales team. There is you, working alongside the founder to figure out what works, do more of it, and build the systems that let it scale. Some days that means writing and launching a campaign; other days it means picking up the phone fifty times before lunch. We care about outcomes and full-stack ownership, not job titles.
We're open to a range of profiles. You might have a spike in marketing and be learning sales, or vice versa. What matters is that you're willing and eager to own the full stack of GTM work, and that you bring intensity and craft to everything you do.

We use AI to move faster, reduce toil, and raise the bar. We expect you to see AI as a 10x productivity lever and to push what's possible with these tools.
What you'll do
Build and own Cable's customer acquisition engine end-to-end: from top-of-funnel awareness through to signed contracts
Run outbound campaigns, inbound nurturing, and direct sales calls to SME electricity customers
Design and execute marketing campaigns across channels (email, SEO/GEO, paid, events, partnerships) with a product-led growth mindset
Devise and ship product marketing & growth experiments
Build the acquisition and engagement engine for our installer partner network
Develop and refine Cable's GTM playbook: messaging, positioning, collateral, and sales process
Instrument everything: track what's working, kill what's not, and build the data foundation for scaling what converts
Collaborate closely with the founder and early team to shape go-to-market strategy as we grow
About you
Excitement: We're doing our life's work and want to work with colleagues who are as excited about Cable as we are.
Experience: 2-5 years in a high-performance GTM, growth, or commercial role at a startup, scale-up, or top-tier company where you personally drove measurable results. We don’t expect you to have owned all of these disciplines before, but a key spike in at least one is a must.
Full-stack mindset: You can write compelling copy AND get on the phone. You can build a campaign AND close a deal. You don't see marketing and sales as separate disciplines.
Ownership: When you commit, you make things happen. You own results end-to-end. You don't wait to be told; you make progress visible; you finish.
Compounding mindset: You get better every day. You hold yourself to a high bar and you're not satisfied with "good enough." You work hard, you move fast, and you iterate relentlessly.
AI-native: You actively use AI tooling to move faster and do better work. You see it as fundamental to how a small team can compete with incumbents 100x its size. You are excited to continue to ramp your capabilities here as the toolkit evolves
